ValvTechnologies Europe Hosts Conservative Party

ValvTechnologies Europe, leading service provider for control, safety relief, parallel slide gate and manual valves across Europe, Africa and the Middle East and the European Satellite distributor for ValvTechnologies’ products, hosted more than 80 attendees an event for the Conservative Party on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. The goal of this meeting was for the Conservative Party to make people aware of local engineering companies and the need for more investment in the Teesside area.

During this session, held on the newly redesigned manufacturing floor, officials announced improvement in transport routes to help local companies to receive and deliver a better service as well as proposed an investment of 4.5 billion across the North East area.

The Right Honorable Greg Clark MP, along with James Wharton MP for Stockton South, addressed the audience local Conservatives party members. Clark is a Cabinet Minister within the current government and the minister for Universities and Cities. He opened the talk with an overview of ValvTechnologies and what the company does in the local and international marketplaces. He then received a guided tour of the workshop and was briefed on all the new equipment, how it worked and what it was used for. In addition, Clark received an overview of Valve Management Database (VMD) including a more in-depth talk with IT Manager Michael Putson, regarding the work we did to ensure the test data was automatically populated into our own software VMD.

Much of the ValvTechnologies Europe staff was involved in making this event successful, including: Valve Services Manager Adrian Thompson, apprentices Ryan Prest and Jason Neeson and Receptionist Karen Wray. “MCE Group plc. / ValvTechnologies Europe was delighted to have hosted this short event in our premises,” said Valve Services Manager Adrian Thompson. “Clark’s speech about investment into the region gives us confidence to continue with our investment from ValvTechnologies and to expand our business further from Teesside. “
