MCE offers relief valve testing supported by trained technicians to undertake PRV and SRV testing ‘In Situ’.
Our equipment is certified by Lloyd’s to ATEX Directive for operating in potentially explosive atmospheres. Furthermore, our testing facilities for the workshop and in-situ are audited by Zurich members of SAFED the UK’s independent engineering inspection and certification industry against international and national standards API 527, EUT.212, EUT.213, EI.INS.25.04 and/or customer-specific requirements.
Our technicians can perform cold safety relief valve testing (V-cal) in situ. This reduces downtime to the plant and can be conducted more frequently, increasing confidence in the valve settings.
The equipment utilises a 100kN load cell capable of completely closing the relief valve under operating conditions.
